- Information for algebra-based college course
- Information for algebra-based High School courses, AP Physics 1 & 2
The book will guide you through the ISLE process step-by-step. It offer lots of videos of experiments, real-life applications, explicit multiple-representation based problem solving strategy implemented in every example and non-traditional problems, many of which are innovative (non-tradiational) specifically targeted for AP.
FREE The Physics Active Learning Guide (ALG) by Etkina, Brookes, Planinsic, and Van Heuvelen (2nd edition) and FREE The On-line Physics Active Learning Guide (OALG) for teaching online.
The ALG has activities and problems that can be used in lectures, recitations, labs, and homework for concept construction, testing and applications.
FREE The Instructor Guide by Etkina, Brookes, Planinsics, and Van Heuvelen (2nd edition)
It lists general and content specific learning objectives for each chapter, describes common student difficulties, lists non-traditional problems, explains the logic of the material flow, the nuances of representations and language we use; it provides suggestions for instructors related to the sequence and implementation of the activities, student difficulties and cues the instructors on where the activities should be used.
The textbook and the ALG have hundreds of videos, they are accessible by anyone, no book adoption is needed:

Mastering physics
Mastering Physics platform not only has many of the problems in the textbook that students can solve with immediate feedback but it also allows you to create your own course and use all other resources that are available through Mastering Physics free. These are the Instructor Guide, the Active Learning Guides, Exam problems bank, slides shows, and many other useful materials.
Here is a direct link to register for Mastering (for educators only). You need to contact your rep to get an access code, but you can request access directly as well.
You need to create a course with our book. Then click on Instructor Resources to find the materials.
